Oil & Gas - Downstream
Since our first project in 1998 for Diamond Shamrock, Applied Control Engineering, Inc. (ACE) has continued to develop experience and expertise within the downstream oil and gas sector. We have successfully executed projects that are quite diverse from controlling operations on a loading dock to integrating vendor equipment (e.g. compressor skids, fired heaters, and process analyzers) into refinery control systems. Typical projects have included DCS modernization and modification, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and alarm management systems.
To provide the best site support for our customers, ACE engineers are trained to work safely in the field. We train them not only in best practice safety procedures, but also ensure they are trained on site-specific procedures, in cooperation with our customers. In addition, we have also taken the initiative to ensure that, select members of our staff are certified by the CFSE Governance Board or TÜV Rheinland as safety professionals. For more information about our internal safety standards and training, check out our Safety page.
In order to meet site security requirements, a number of our engineers carry a TWIC card, ensuring compliance with Homeland Security regulations and giving our customers peace of mind.
Our customers include integrated international oil & gas companies, refinery operators, minor and specialty refineries, and their suppliers such as:
- Calumet Shreveport Lubricants & Waxes
