Programmable Logic Control Systems Article
The July – August 2014 issue of Medical Construction & Design magazine featured an article authored by ACE’s Steve Tucker. Steve wrote about the recent trend in the healthcare industry of deploying Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems in central utility plants. The use of PLCs in hospital utility plants (as well as campuses and larger commercial buildings) has proven to be a reliable and robust solution for integration, remote monitoring, and automated control of mechanical-electrical systems. In addition, they offer several advantages including energy savings, a reduced service cost over the life of the system, and the ability to easily expand the system.
