ACE’s Bill Dugary Receives ISPE-DVC 2016 Buz Lange Award
In December, ACE’s Bill Dugary received the 2016 Buz Lange Award from the Delaware Valley Chapter of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE-DVC).
The Buz Lange Award was established in 1995 by John Cocco, first president of the Delaware Valley Chapter. Since then, it has been given to an individual in the Chapter who emulates Buz’s leadership, focus on innovation, teamwork, and service.
From the ISPE-DVC Winter Newsletter:
He [Bill] is a highly regarded, longtime, active member of the Delaware Valley Chapter. He continues to contribute to ISPE with engagement on all of our student focused committees and coordinates our annual involvement with the STEM promoting Future Cities Competition for middle school age students.
Bill volunteers with a number of other organizations and somehow finds the time to provide excellent development and engineering perspective for his company.
It was our pleasure to award this to Bill, as he exemplifies the nature of this award and embodies the reasons it was created.
Our congratulations go out to Bill. We couldn’t agree more!
ACE Named One of Control Engineering’s 2016 System Integrator Giants
On December 21, 2016, Control Engineering, a CFE Media publication, announced the 2016 System Integrator Giants. The list includes the top 100 system integrators for 2016 ranked according to total system integration revenue. This year, our fifth time participating in the program, ACE was ranked 32nd.
The list was compiled based on surveys sent to the engineering firms in Control Engineering's Global System Integrator Database. In addition to system integration revenue, this year’s survey also took a closer look at current system integration trends, issues, and topics such as how to choose the best integrator for your job and the keys to successful panel building check out.

Bridging the IT/OT Gap: Bring IT into Your Acceptance Testing
In December, MESA International featured an article on their blog authored by ACE’s Dirk Sweigart. Dirk wrote on the topic of cybersecurity, specifically addressing the concept of bridging the IT and OT gap and bringing IT resources into acceptance testing procedures. During acceptance testing, IT resources may be able to address cybersecurity requirements or other requirements that automation engineers and operations may not consider. Dirk explains that, “Cybersecurity requirements can represent a common ground where both IT and OT can see and understand the requirements, perform the tests, confirm that the system is ready for operation in a production environment, and develop a shared understanding of systems, methods, and priorities.” Click here to read the article in its entirety or for more information on this topic contact Dirk at 302.738.8800.
