2018 Engineers Week

During the week of February 18, 2018, ACE celebrated Engineers Week. Started in 1951, the program is designed to celebrate the engineering profession and the positive contributions engineers make to society.

To let our own engineers know how much they are appreciated, each was gifted a custom ACE fidget spinner and candy bar. Several offices also hosted luncheons for their engineers as an additional way of acknowledging their contributions.

In addition, ACE used Engineers Week as an opportunity to engage students and inspire career exploration. The week before Engineers Week we attended a career fair specifically focused on the fields of engineering and technology. Then during Engineers Week we hosted a group of University of Delaware students for an employer site visit. During their time with us, students got to learn what a career in control / automation engineering is all about. Highlights from the day included an industry overview, panel discussion, tour of our facility, and the chance to network with ACE engineers.

Thanks to everyone who made this week such a success. We can’t wait until next year!
